Four houses under one roof
The Sankelmark Academy was opened on the shores of Lake Sankelmark in 1952. 70 years later, four educational institutions can be found there as the Akademiezentrum Sankelmark. They have been joined by the European Academy Schleswig-Holstein, the Academia Baltica and the Minority Competence Network Schleswig-Holstein / Southern Denmark.
Important forum
More than 100 events invite people to perceive and debate topics from history and politics, society and culture, religion and ethics, literature and the fine arts. Thus, the Academy Centre is important as a forum beyond the borders of the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
